A veritable plethora of scribbled tsatskes

Sunday, June 30
I am of the firm belief that there is a snail living in my nose. Nice visual, huh? Well, I habe a code and the damn thing is stuck somewhere in my nasal/sinus cavities. Plus, I had a very cold hard look at my finances (or extreme lack thereof) and have, shall we say, been sobered up. So, I'm in the midst of a slight mental breakdown. Not quite at the super depressed, but slowly headed there. And I STILL friggin' don't know what I want to do with my life. BLARGH!!

The pain...the pain. Well, actually, it's really the ache, the ache. Worked out yesterday and today with Ben the Personal Trainer and I'm sure it's going to hit me tomorrow morning when I can't make it down the stairs of my house. I know that my muscles tried to protest this morning but 'twas too late - they were being worked out again. Anyhoo...gearing up for the 4th of July weekend. Have many visitors coming to see me. The Groundhogs will be arriving early the morning of the 4th ("oh, we should be there around 2 or 3...AM...!") and mi madre will be flying in from Da Apple on the 6th. That means less than a week to clean my house. OH NO!!!

Monotone Twin and I went to her coach's house for a little din-din last night with some of The Twin's fellow groupmates. Fah buh lous (or, as they say in that song FA-BO-LO-US) view of Culver City. Didn't know they had hills in dem dar parts. Also, ate roast goose (duck duck goose) willingly for the first time in my life. Great to be in a very relaxed atmosphere with a very inspiring view. OK, gotta go now. The shoulders are protesting.

Yet another hot day in Da Valley. Going to the gym this afternoon for the first time since being back from the Big Apple. I'm dreading it. I always dread it, since I hate hate hate exercising. But, 'tis a necessary evil, I suppose. Went to see "Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood" last night with a friend last night. We both loved it. I want the DVD when it comes out. Maggie Smith cracked me up. She had the best lines, and she can wield an oxygen tank with such finesse! Ashley Judd was good, as well. Loved the period costumes. I think Monotone Twin gave me a cold, 'coz now I'm coughing up a lung and my right nostril has been running like the Mississippi during flood season. Thank goodness for Kleenex. Anyway - for y'all who are familiar with my project, I think I've decided to change it. Yet again. It's still going to involve photographers, but I think I will pair them up with musicians (rather than DJ's) that they know and love. it'll totally be a cool collaboration, and I'm going to work with My Muzzah. It makes me smile.

Anyone see the full moon last night? We tried to see it at aforementioned Goddess Party (which did, btw, kick major booty) but alas, twas overcast. Met some very cool people. Ate some AWESOME Indian okra dish (not gushy!) that came from Chandni (veggie Indian restaurant). Anyone been there? Of course, I was unsure of exactly who was going to be there, so I ended up bringing a chocolate mousse cake - gotta love Ralph's bakery section! I figured, an all-woman party held at the full moon. You couldn't go wrong with chocolate with that crowd!

Wow. I was posting this and somehow got smooshed out of my window...anyway, it was recovered. And here I was going to rant and rant about how blogger's site isn't working...I'm impressed. Anyway - must go wake up the Monotone Twin and get some dim sum.

G'mornin. And I definitely mean good morning. Was out partying with my Monotone Twin last night and we managed to see the sun rise, so after crashing out at her lily pad I am back in the Valley, just in time to shower 'n' change and head out to a Full Moon Goddess Party in Pacific Palisades (oy, I just LIVE on the 405!!) What is a Goddess Party? According to the invitation, it is an occasion whereby fabulous women gather under a full moon, eat, drink, network and generally make merry. Also, every attendant will be answering the question, "I love being a woman because..." and writing it into a book for posterity. Sounds really awesome, and since I am friends with the hostess, I am SURE it will be kickass. Loving the Chevy Cavlier, by the way. Amazing what a difference going Up the Hill is when one has a slightly larger engine.

Bourne Identity - enjoyed it, actually! This is what happens when one has low expectations - it is always pleasant to be entertained. Pretty predictable, but I liked the fight scenes. Franka Potente really didn't have a lot to do except to look "fraught", but, c'est la vie.

All righty, my female readers....I'd love to hear your thoughts on why you love being a woman. Comment away!

Woo hoo! Figured out how to put comments in. Everything is soooo user-friendly nowadays! Well, the Big Adventure of this afternoon was bringing my horseless carriage to get some unhappy tail lights adjusted. Of course, The Dealership waited until 5:30 PM to let me know that I would be sans auto until Monday. So, off to Rental Car Land I went. Of course, since Subvervia lives in...the Valley...nothing was open after 6 PM, hence a trip to Burbank Airport. Now I be sportin' a cherry red Chevy for the next couple of days. Weird to be in a car bigger than my Teddy Bear Mobile. Going to see "The Bourne Identity" tonight - I'll wait 'til I hear back from y'all about "Minority Report" before I go see it. Tom Cruise irritates me, but the special effects look good. I've heard general grumbles about Bourne...comments, folks (now that I have them?!?)

One hour later, and two templates later, with still much to be a-tweaked. I am curious as to how to add the lovely little comments box, but will probably have to wait until Punito gets back. Perhaps The Flipness can help me?!? Let me know..........

Ahhh...the kawl of peer pressure. Nah, I was just enjoying Puni's so much I hads to gets me my ownz. Anyway, I made a comment to Mr. San Diego last night, having just returned from a week's sojourn in The Big Apple (home sweet home). Ever notice that people only drink tomato juice on the plane? You don't see the V-8 leaving the supermarket by the dozens, but I swear, when it's time for that beverage service, at least one person PER ROW orders a tomato juice. I, however, have rediscovered the joys of Bloody Mary Mix. Yummy!!
