Interesting the names people give their children. Working for a 3rd party medical claims administrator gives me some insights into today's parents and the lovely choices they make for their offspring. Just today, for example, I found a child (who is now approximately 6 years old) whose name is Ikea. I wonder if she was born there. You never know! I was thinking, in the Filipino spirit of giving nicknames, that there definitely must be someone or someones in the Philippines named Walmart. You know, short for Walter Martin. Excuse me, make that Whalter Mhartin. Filipinos love their silent "h"'s. Gives the name fhlair. And, of course, in real-life I have come across a Hennessy. And lots 'n' lots of Aaliyah's (all curiously born around the end of last year/beginning this year). My all time favorite, though, is Dijonnaise. No joke. I hope her siblings aren't similarly named after condiments. That would be...unfortunate. "And here is my son, Grey Poupon!" Ouch. posted by Subvervia 4:58:00 PM . . .
Hiya kids! Long times no sees. Been Landmarking like a banshee these past couple o' weeks. Been velly velly intellestink, this roller coaster ride called ILP. Just to let you know what I'se up to...I'm committed to becoming an IL in about a month, learning the introduction in Spanish, AND going to Manila to assist at the next Landmark Forum there in January. Just how I'm going to achieve all this...yo no se! But the spirit is willing. Life has been happening in a big way, these past few days. I was told the other day by my boss that I was "too productive". Never thought I'd hear that from any of my bosses. Ever! Still, nice to know that I'm doing good work. posted by Subvervia 11:26:00 PM . . .
Amazing how quickly time flies. I cannot believe that it's been just over a month since I've been at the job. I've discovered I have the capacity to take 10 minute cat naps (and actually feel refreshed by them) and that when I put my mind to something, I really make things happen. Fabulous. Or, as they say in Landmark..."Porrrfect!" So romance seems to be the theme around me this week. Hung out with Puni Payne & Bubot (or, for those readers of Mr. Payne's blog, you know her as NYC) last weekend after a really intense ILP weekend. Weird to see them together as a couple, especially since I know them separately as very close friends (to me, that is). Nice, though. Very nice. Makes me giggle with delight. Those crazy kids! Also, found out 2 days ago that Fraulein Feng Shui, single these past 4 years, recently acquired a boyfriend who was once just a dear friend. Heeee heee heee....and, to top it all off, I spoke to my own ex-boyfriend this week and completed some issues that had caused a lot of misunderstanding between us. Ah, nice to be in blue skies mentally. posted by Subvervia 11:25:00 PM . . .
Hell's bells!! 'Tis already October and I have not written a damn thing in such the long time! Tomorrow is Grey Poupon's birthday, but seeing as she is on vacation in Scotland, I cannot wish her a happy birthday except via e-mail (no. no cell phone.) Mental note to send a free Yahoo card. Damn those card sites going to pay-premium. I suspect it's cheaper to get porn than to send a friggin' greeting card. Now, what does THAT say about society, eh?!? Puni shot a moofie in mah house last Sunday. Powerfully warm, it was, with all the lighting 'n' shtuff. Had to put the thermostat down to 70 so the cast (all two of them) wouldn't look so shiny on the digital tape. My friend Mabster suggested that I devote a blog entry to a dissertation on my favorite kind of reading material, that is, The Romance Novel. Sounds like a good idea. Not right now, though. I'm not in the mood. But hey, I'm in a GREAT mood today as I just gots me mah paycheck - all direct deposited 'n' like that. I loves me bein' a workin' girl again!! posted by Subvervia 7:32:00 PM . . .
