Happy Fruitcake Day! That is what they say is today's holiday at holidays.com. Anyhoo - did everyone get what they wanted for Xmas? I didn't even realize that Chanukkah had come and gone on the heels of Turkey Day!! There I was trying to send out a birthday card on Yahoo greetings, and I look over to see, "Hanukkah ENDS". And I hadn't known it had started! Pooey. Don't know how many of you I've told, but when Subvervia was a little itty bitty girl, she used to look out of the picture window of her 23rd floor apartment and look at all the buildings around her. I used to play a game where I would try to count all the menorahs in the windows of the other buildings. Don't know why I did it, but it was a yearly tradition. Didn't even see one this year. However, I do have to say that never did I ever think they would ever say my name on television. Yep, how many of you ever watched The Magic Mirror on PBS when you were young (or is that just an East Coast thing?) Anyway, Miss Marianne would look into the magic mirror at the end of each show and say the names of the good girls and boys. She NEVER said my name. But hey, back then, everyone was named Jennifer or Michelle or Johnny or Bobby. Nowadays, she'd probably be calling on Aaliyah, Chelsea, Trey and Giancarlo. But I digress. So, my uncle was watching Law&Order (don't know which version), and wouldn't you know it - the drug abusin', children neglectin', nasty boyfriend havin', mother upsettin' character's name was....MINE!! Both first and last. Yippee. I guess. And everyone the police detectives talk to have this kind of, "Where's Waldo?" monologue. Heh heh heh. posted by Subvervia 10:23:00 PM . . .
Happy 1st of December, y'all! Seems I haven't written for 2 whole months. Life happens like that, though. Well. Subvervia has a new housemate - her cousin - who just moved in last night. My garage barely fits my car right now, and we have a new couch, courtesy of Ms. B, who couldn't put one of them in storage. Still, it seems as if the couch was made for the living room, as it matches everything there! What else - still Landmarking like a fool, although with the holiday season coming up, I can see where they say it's tougher going now for the next couple of weeks. Yep, yep, yep.
